Sizing
Method 1: Measuring An Existing Belt
It's better not to guess your belt size.
The best way to get the correct belt size is to measure an existing belt. All our belts are made with five holes set one inch apart to cater for expansion or contraction. All our belts are sized to the middle hole.
To measure your belt size you need to take an existing belt and lay it on a flat surface. Measure in inches from the inside edge of the buckle to the most used hole. The given measurement will be to the centre hole of your new belt. See sizing photos for reference.
If you happen to fall between sizes, its better to order the larger size. So for example if you measure your waist or belt at 35" it's better to order size 36 rather than a 34.
Method 2:
We fully appreciate that if you are trying to buy someone a belt as a present it is not particularly easy to borrow their favourite belt and measure it without questions being asked. Especially if it's one they wear every day.
Another method (although less accurate) is to use your trouser waist size and add two inches, so for example if you have a 32 inch waist (according to the labels in a few of your most comfortable fitting trousers), order a 34 belt.
Waist Size (according to label in trousers) |
26" | 28" | 30" | 32" | 34" | 36" | 38" | 40" | 42" | 44" |
Belt Size | 28" | 30" | 32" | 34" | 36" | 38" | 40" | 42" | 44" | 46" |
This method tends to work pretty well for men, however for ladies it doesn't work as well due to the many different heights of trouser waist lines.
